Argentine still red wine, produced by Catena Zapata in the Mendoza region, 13.5% ABV, 100% Malbec, 2018 vintage. This wine comes from the Adrianna Vineyard, a high-altitude vineyard that produces grapes of extraordinary concentration. Seventy percent of the grapes ferment in new French oak barrels for 15-30 days, with careful management to preserve the aromas. Aged in French oak barrels for 18-24 months, followed by 24 months in bottle. The flavors linger, leaving a salty aftertaste.
