Description
A still red from Piedmont, a Barbera d’Alba DOC, 14.5% ABV, produced by Cogno. 2022 vintage, 0.75L bottle. A wine made from a pre-phylloxera vineyard, a veritable open-air museum of ancient viticulture. The aromas are enveloping, harmonious, and profound, with evident spicy notes at first and fruity notes of raspberry, strawberry, and ripe cherry. Pleasant harmonies of wildflowers on the finish. Dark, brilliant ruby red with intense purple reflections. On the palate, the wine is well-structured, fresh, with excellent acidity and great balance, featuring enveloping tannins and flavors reminiscent of black cherry, blackberry, and plum. A wine that pairs perfectly with red meat dishes, braised meats, and aged cheeses.
