Description
A still red from the heart of Tuscany, Chianti DOCG, 13.5% ABV, produced by Col d’Orcia. A blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, a blend that enhances the terroir’s characteristics. 0.75L bottle, 2022 vintage. Gineprone, named after the juniper trees in the vineyard, is a Chianti that tells the story of a historic Montalcino winery, founded in 1933. Fermentation on the skins for 10-12 days at a controlled temperature in steel tanks. Aged in Slavonian and Allier oak barrels, the same ones used for Brunello, for several months, followed by approximately four months in bottle. Intense ruby red. Ample and persistent, with pleasant notes of ripe fruit, plum, and spice from the wood. A well-structured, full-bodied, and balanced wine with a long, pleasantly fruity finish.
