Refined and complex, with intense fruit notes, the nose reveals wild strawberry, cherry and blackcurrant aromas mingled with delicate notes of vanilla. The wine goes on to reveal its distinctiveness and aromatic complexity on ripe black fruit and Morello cherry flavors followed by notes of vanilla, mocha and toasted hazelnuts on the finish, demonstrating all the power and complexity of Baron Philippe de Rothschild’s selection of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Escudo Rojo Origin is sourced from Maipo. Aged in barrel, this ripe, garnet-red wine unfolds aromas of cedar and black fruit marmalade, along with hints of balsamic and orange petit fours. Indulgent and juicy, the clingy palate is fitted with fine-grained tannins. This 2022 vintage showcases the potential of Maipo to greater effect than in previous years.
