Description
Winemaker Notes
The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes Premier Cru has a dark ruby color. The nose reveals aromas of black cherry, while the palate is elegant and full-bodied, with notes of cherry and licorice. Nice tannic finish.
Professional Ratings
95 James Suckling
For this commune, quite a rich wine, but there’s as much summer flower character as black cherry fruit, all beautifully interwoven on the medium bodied palate. Crisp mineral acidity kicks in at the finish, giving this excellent length and energy.
93 Wine Spectator
A fleshy, seductive red, boasting black cherry, blackberry and plum flavors, with discreet flashes of vanilla, toasty oak and stony mineral elements. This balanced version firms up while winding down on the long, juicy finish. Best from 2027 through 2048. 180 cases made, 40 cases imported.
