Wine & Spirits
Aurelio Montes, best known for his Chilean wines, started this project in Napa Valley in 2006, focused on the southern reaches of the valley in Yountville, Coombsville and Oak Knoll. From his second vintage, this 2007 is a dark, earthy red with abundant tannin. The fruit is superripe and the oak prominent, rounding all the tannin to milk chocolate richness. For braised beef or oxtail. (4/2011)
