Description
Winemaker Notes
This Sauvignon Blanc comes from 35 year-old vines growing in sandy Goldridge Loam over volcanic rock in the renowned Ritchie Vineyard. The richness and minerality of this site are honed through whole-cluster pressing and native yeast fermentation in concrete egg-shaped fermenters. Aged for seven months, sur lies. On the palate there are flavors of grapefruit oil and lime zest that is balanced by a bold mineral character.

Wine Enthusiast
Finding wine from this vineyard site at this price is unheard of and reason enough to jump on this bottling. It also happens to taste great—a combination of melon and preserved lemon flavor, with spicy acidity and a lift of grapefruit peel and wet stone that keeps it exotic.
